Popular Lagos socialite and entrepreneur Mike Nwogu, better known as Pretty Mike, has, in an emotional video, opened up about the loss of his father.
In a video posted on his Instagram page, he revealed that he lost his father a couple of months ago. He said his father was the man who instilled a lot of love in him.
Using the opportunity to pass a message to the public, he preached about peace, forgiveness and the dangers of glorifying negativity online. He also addressed the disturbing trend on social media and the growing culture of aura for aura, where people encourage revenge and negative energy in the name of matching vibes.
Pretty Mike noted a growing slogan encouraging bad energy and promoting revenge and retaliation. The socialite stated that true strength lies in love, patience, wisdom, and not retaliation.
“I lost my father a couple of months ago. He was a man who instilled a lot of love in me. He always encouraged peace. I rarely speak about my personal life online, but I needed to put this out.

In April, Pretty Mike sent a message to single ladies, admonishing them to marry a kind man who can’t stand to see them in pain. He noted that if they died, their husbands would move on quickly.
Last year, the socialite revealed singer Portable’s secret to having multiple women. He noted how people insult Portable, making them know that a responsible man who provides for his family will always be attractive to women. He stated that, despite the good looks and polished appearance of his colleagues, if they were deadbeat, Portable would collect their girlfriends and impregnate them. Pretty Mike, however, made it known that he wasn’t promoting polygamy, but he was explaining the mystery behind why women are attracted to Portable. He went on to crown him ‘Man of the Year’.
In other news, Mike asserted that most Nigerians are emotionally bankrupt. He said he can’t wrap his head around the increasing rate of sad stories he has heard and seen on the gram.
