Big Brother Naija Shine Ya Eyes’ former housemate, Queen Mercy Atang is finally a married woman.
The reality star has joined the leagues of married women this year following the success of her wedding introduction. Kemi Filani reported a day back the reality star and her fiance had shared photos from their pre-wedding shoot.
Her fiance, David Oyekanmi shared the photos on his Instagram page as the lovebirds were seen donning different traditional outfits. While Queen wore the Akwa-Ibom traditional attire, David was dressed as a typical Yoruba boy.
In his caption, he stated that it was time as he quoted the scriptures. Meanwhile, Queen while sharing similar photos, stated that the journey to forever with her boo has begun.
Today, March 13th, the lovebirds held their traditional wedding in Queen’s hometown, Akwa Ibom. Videos from the event are currently making rounds online. In one of the videos, Queen could be seen adorning herself with makeup and attire as she prepared for her introduction. In another, she proudly showed off her traditional outfit. Queen wore a blue-coloured outfit and David wore blue Agbada.
The couple was joined by their family, friends, and colleagues who happily cheered on them.
Two weeks back, the reality star had announced her engagement with a photo of her flaunting her engagement ring while holding the hands of her fiance.
In a later post on her Instagram page, the reality star revealed that her man proposed to her with a diamond ring because she meant the world to him.
Following her engagement, her baby daddy, Lord Lamba tried to sabotage her big moment as he publicly acknowledged his daughter on the day Queen announced her engagement to her lover.
Speaking out, Lord Lamba denied the accusations and cleared the air about trying to stop Queen from finding her happiness. He claimed he posted about his daughter to clarify the paternity of his daughter and hence, he captioned the post with her full name. He noted that the choice of living a private life does not affect the relationship he shared with his daughter and he’s been a father figure to his girl.
He also spoke about things not working out between them and how they are trying to give their daughter the best despite not being together.
