RnB singer, R. Kelly has been arrested in Chicago for federal sex crime charges. Enforcement officials says the 52-year old was arrested on Thursday by NYPD nad is expected to be taken to New York.
No detail of the charges has been released neither is it known whether the arrest is related to earlier or fresh allegations.
R. Kelly has been involved in several sexual abuse allegations bwith many dating as a dark back as 1998. He was acquitted by a court of child pornography after a video showed him having sex with a girl who was believed to be 13. But the girl claimed to be in the video denied being the one.
Back in February, R. Kelly was charged to court for aggravated sexual abuse of four women. Three of the women were minors at the time the alleged abuse took place. The singer pleaded not guilty and was granted bail.
