Orange Prize-winning author of Half of a Yellow Sun and Americanah, Chimamanda Adichie, has told Nigerian feminists not to use feminism to justify their wickedness.
In her own words,
”I love listening to young Nigerian feminist, and I say to them, Please, do not use feminism to justify your wickedness. Right? Sometimes, some of these women I talk to them, and they sound really mean, and I say, you know what? You sound mean, and this is not feminism. You’re are just really nasty. ”
