Mixed reactions have trailed the nullification of the appointment of the Chairman of Lagos State Parks and Garages, Musiliu Akisanya popularly known as MC Oluomo.
Kemi Filani reports that the National Industrial Court of Nigeria (NICN) has nullified the appointment of a caretaker committee, known as Parks and Garages Administrators.
Justice Maureen Esowe voided the Lagos State Parks Administrator Caretaker Committee. in a sitting in Lagos on Tuesday, April 18th.
The court reinstated the operations of the Road Transport Employers Association of Nigeria (RTEAN) in Lagos State.
The judge held that the state government’s suspension of the national unions’ operations and setting up of a caretaker committee last October was illegal and unconstitutional.
She held that the government and the Police should have intervened by arresting and prosecuting those behind any fracas purportedly involving union members and not inquiring into the dispute.
The court also restrained the state government from further interfering in the operations of the union’s exco.
Reacting to it, while others mocked MC Oluomo for losing his position, others stated that this was only a ploy to move him up the ladder.
They claim that his boss, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who is now the President-elect, would offer him a better position.

Kemi Filani reported months back that MC Oluomo had spoken out on his relationship with President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The former NURTW boss in a viral video pledged his lifetime loyalty and commitment to Bola Ahmed Tinubu over his constant support for him.
MC Oluomo revealed that Tinubu has been taking care of him since 1999, hence why he can’t leave him.
Addressing his critics, MC Oluomo stated that he is unbothered and unmoved by their daily insults.
However, he appealed to his critics to refrain from insulting and abusing him as he holds no grudge against anyone.
“Tinubu has been taking care of me since 1999, I cannot leave him. I am not a betrayer. I am not moved by those insulting me on social media”.
This wasn’t the first time, MC Oluomo had spoken out on his relationship with Tinubu.

Last year, MC Oluomo, who doubles as APC chieftain, in a chat with City People, spilled about his friendship of over 20 years with Bola Tinubu from when he was a former senator, former governor, and now presidential candidate of APC.
MC began by revealing how he started as a conductor “I never thought it will turn out this way. When I got to Primary 6, I now realized that my mum could not pay my way any longer through school, so I became a Conductor then at Adatan. They used to call it Interstate then. We would sit on the bonnet. I used to hang around those boys at that Adatan Filling Station. Once I get there a lot of boys will gather around me.
