Several controversies have continued to trail the just concluded 14th edition of the Headies after many people alleged the awards were being politized.
Popular Soapy crooner, Azeez Fashola, better known as Naira Marley, was also snubbed at the award.
Many fans took to Twitter to vent their anger stating that Naira Marley was cheated.
With several reactions, a Twitter user identified victor alleged that the Malian president got snubbed because of a controversial tweet in 2019.
Kemifilani recalls that Naira Marley in 2019, threw a shade at the Headies organizers on Twitter, saying that the dance ‘Legwork’, introduced by Zlatan, was bigger than Headies.
With the tweet, Naira Marley was no doubt criticizing the awarding body and thsi may not be unconnected to why the organizers shunned him.
He wrote: legwork bigger than Headies 2019’.
