Destiny Kids’ singer, Rejoice Iwueze couldn’t hold back her tears at her traditional wedding on Wednesday, November 16th, 2022.
KFN reported in September, that the former member of the gospel music group had announced her engagement to Oladapo Temitayo Samuel.
The ‘Joy Joy Joy’ singer shared the good news in an Instagram post, where she also posted her proposal photos.
Rejoice Iwueze’s traditional wedding
In a new update, the younger sister of Favour Iwueze has finally tied the knot traditionally.
In a clip posted on her Instagram story, Rejoice could be seen weeping as she knelt before her father.
As with the Igbo tradition, Rejoice was seen kneeling before her father, as he took a can of malt (which many use to replace palm wine) to give to her husband.
Rejoice Iwueze announces new chapter
Before walking down the aisle, the then bride-to-be took to Instagram to announce her new chapter as a married woman.
Exuding happiness, Rejoice ushered herself into her new phase, new level and new chapter.
She revealed that the next level was bubbling in her heart and she was super excited she is doing it with him.
“It’s a new phase. It’s a new dawn, it’s a new level and it’s a new chapter.
This next level is just bubbling in my heart and I’m super excited I’m doing it with you @samtblaze.
Let’s do it traditionally today baby”.
Rejoice Iwueze releases pre-wedding photos
Days back, Rejoice took to Instagram to share their white-themed pre-wedding photos.
Rejoice Iwueze gushed over her man as she made lifetime commitment to him.
Describing him as her testimony, she affirmed that she won’t lose him.
The younger sister of Joy Iwueze stated that everyday gets beautiful calling him her “Ife mi”.
She wrote,
“God really took out time in blessing me with His beat masterpiece @samtblaze.
Everyday it gets beautiful calling you “Ife mi”. The kind of love you have shown me can’t be expressed in words and I’m eternally grateful to God.
You are my testimony and I won’t lose you. You are my constant reminder of how much the Father loves me.
I pray the Lord guides us throughout the journey of life.
I love you today, tomorrow and forever”.
Her soon-to-be husband on his part wrote,
“Jesus commands our destiny my love. No power of hell, no scheme of man. Can ever pluck us from His hand. Till He returns or calls us home. Here in the power of Christ we stand. I love you forever my testimony”.
