American rapper, Rick Ross seems to be a die-hard fan of Nigeria as he has once again shown love to the country but this time to the President.
Taking to his social media account, the award-winning rapper stated that he wants to show love to our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. According to him, he wants to bring attention to our culture and our amazing artists.
“I want to show love to the Presidents of some of these amazing countries. Rozay just wants to show love and bring attention to the culture and its amazing artists. Let’s start with Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu”.
This isn’t the first time he has shown love to us. Some weeks back, the rapper left controversial singer, Portable overwhelmed after he declared love for him.
The award-winning artist had via his social media page given a shout-out to African artists for their contribution to the industry. He stated that he loves African artists, our culture, and music and has some special artists, he wants to shout out to. He mentioned Portableâs name, Odumodublvck, Uncle Waffles, and other artists.
Taking to his Instagram page, Portable reshared the video as he appreciated him for the recognition and expressed love for him.
In 2022, the Maybach Music group executive returned to Nigeria after his first trip in 2012 for two reasons.
The rapper who won the hearts of Nigerians when he featured on Psquareâs song, Beautiful Onyinye, was sighted in a four-second video shared by a Twitter user arriving in the country.
He alongside Davido, and other big names in the industry like Tiwa SavĂŁge, Mayorkun, DJ Obi, The Caveman, Gave, DJ Yin, and many more had shut down Eko Hotel & Suites.
However, his visit created an uproar in the industry as rappers, MI Abaga, and YCEE vented out their anger over what they termed as discrimination against Nigerian rappers.
MI Abaga said he had opted to see Rick Ross face-to-face when he was invited, but the organizers declined. He recalled how he faced a similar experience during his first gig in 2008 with Jay Z, Rihanna, and Usher.
Responding to him, CDQ said most Nigerian rappers would get the invitation for the event but would instead be asking for something else. He said he was invited to the event by Belaire directly from America, and heâs sure they must have checked his catalog from 2013 to date.
However, people should understand Godâs grace irrespective of being a local or English rapper, adding that the organizers only invited rappers they felt were worth the event.
