Veteran Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has prayed for late actor Junior Pope’s wife, Jennifer Awele and his family.
On Friday, July 26th would have marked the 10th wedding anniversary of the actor, who died in April in a boat accident. Taking to her Instagram page, Rita prayed for her Maker to care for the people the actor left behind.
She noted how Junior Pope and his wife would have celebrated the huge marital milestone. However, she assured his widow that she should believe God has his reasons for everything that has happened. Edochie urged her fans to say a prayer for the couple.
“GOD, PLEASE TAKE OF THE PEOPLE HE LEFT BEHIND.
KAY, IT WOULD HAVE BEEN TWO OF YOU CELEBRATING YOUR 10TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY, BUT JUNIOR POPE IS NOT THERE AGAIN.
IN EVERYTHING THAT HAPPENS MY DAUGHTER KAY, GOD ALMIGHTY HAS HIS REASONS.
NO MUCH TALK, SO I DON’T START REMEMBERING FORGOTTEN WOUNDS.

Taking to her comment section, some of her colleagues also join her in praying for his wife.

Similarly, Rita Edochie’s former daughter-in-law, May, had consoled Jennifer on her anniversary. Urging her to stay strong, she assured her that the Lord God would take charge of her and always be there for her.
Since the news of his death, Rita hasn’t ceased to pay tribute to him. The veteran had even refused to celebrate her birthday in April as she dedicated it in memory of JP. She noted how the late actor never missed her birthdays while adding that no death in Nollywood had made her this crãzy.
