Nollywood actress Rita Edochie has voiced out the irony at which Nigerians criticised her for supporting Prophet Odumeje.
Taking to her Instagram page, she noted how she was insulted and humiliated because she saw something in Prophet Odumeje and heavily promoted him. Now, the same people insulting her run up and down to see him.
She made it known that one of the things she cannot do is to join the world to criticise a shining light because, in later times, he could become the pillar everyone leans on, including those who judged him. Bragging, she declared that she is Ijele for a reason, and she sees light in a person the world considers dark.

In January, actress Nkechi Blessing had recounted her first meeting with Odumeje. The movie star revealed that she had met him during her flight and even received an anointing from him.
While still speaking about him in an interview, she stated that the fact that the clergyman can’t speak English fluently doesn’t mean he is a fake man of God. Recalling her encounter with him, she stated that he was a true man of God.
In November of 2022, Yul Edochie revealed that Odumeje had promised to give him his highest power. Yul had jokingly warned Nigerians to be ready for him come 2023 because he would collect power from the controversial cleric Odumeje. He further stated that he would shut down Nigeria soon with his powers.
