Nollywood actress, Ruby Ojiakor has reacted to the criticisms she received over her kitchen and utensils.
Kemi Filani reported days back that Ruby Ojiakor had shared a video of her preparing stew in her small kitchen.
The video disappointed many of her fans who felt the actress should upgrade her lifestyle and utensils and dropped the ‘village girl’ attitude.
Many deemed the kitchen and utensils, which were looking old and dirty unfit for someone of her status.
Reacting to the criticisms, Ruby Ojiakor apologized to them for trying to live within her means.
She stated that she lives in a 2-bedroom flat in Asaba as that is what she can afford and as such, they have to bear with her.
“For those of you saying, shouting, screaming her kitchen is too small like anthole. Ruby at your level how can you be using such a tiny kitchen?
You guys shouldn’t be angry I know your kitchen is like a room and parlor, please don’t be angry, that’s what I use.
I lived in a two-bedroom apartment in Asaba and that’s the size of the kitchen. I only have money for 2 bedroom and that’s the size of my kitchen.
And those of you saying I used old utensils, am sorry I have foreign own too but I love to use the old ones”.

This isn’t the first time, Ruby Ojiakor has been dragged over her attitude and lifestyle.

Weeks back, Ruby Ojiakor faced criticism for her approach to gifting money to children on the streets.
Ruby Ojiakor posted a video on Instagram showing her act of kindness by throwing money on the street while children scrambled to pick it up.
Fans responded to the video, suggesting that Ruby should have distributed the money to the children in a more organized and respectful manner, instead of throwing it haphazardly.
Some had even labeled her actions as reminiscent of a “village girl mentality.”
Ruby Ojiakor warns Anita Joseph
In other news, Ruby Ojiakor had called out her senior colleague, Anita Joseph.
Taking to her Instagram page, Ruby Ojiakor sternly warned Anita Joseph never to query her for not celebrating her.
According to Ruby, Anita Joseph had queried her in her DMs for not celebrating her birthday in January.
Ruby noted how Anita Joseph didn’t celebrate her when she got her mother a new house but was expecting her to celebrate her.
Threatening her, Ruby stated that till the world ends, Anita Joseph should never query her for that.
She noted how she always celebrates people even if they are not of her caliber, but that isn’t the same for Anita Joseph.
