Nollywood actress and movie producer Ruth Kadiri has sent a message to Nollywood actors.
Taking to her Instagram page, she told them to take the pressure off their shoulder as she stated that any producer who requires one million views from them in one day has failed. Kadiri noted how a good production requires more than one’s face.
The mother of two avowed that one million views isn’t a standard of success or failure. She admonished her colleagues not to allow the ignorance of producers to rub off their joy.
Throwing shades, she added that the producers who don’t invest in anyone are the ones with the most nonsense to say about others.

Ruty Kadiri is undoubtedly leaving her footprint in Nollywood, especially in the area of filmmaking. In February, Nigerians praised Ruth for introducing new artists in her movies after an X user, Chude Nnamdi, called the attention of Nigerians to the fact that Ruth Kadiri is not getting enough credits for bringing the young actor to the spotlight via her streaming platform on YouTube.
Months back, Kadiri vowed to change the Nigerian cinema pattern with her movies when the right time comes. Kadiri spoke about how she often asked herself what would become of her brand without the promotional help from anyone. She claimed she doesn’t rely on anyone to help her because she is on a mission to change the pattern in Nigerian cinema. She vowed that many would watch her movie without being forced or compelled to do so but because it would be worth the watch and their trust in her.
Last year, Ruth had sent a message to film critics, telling them she wasn’t bothered by their analysis. She noted how she had gotten lots of criticisms from people complaining about how predictable her movies were, as she compared them to Hollywood, noting how Hollywood and other foreign movies are also predictable, yet people still watch them.
She had also sent an SOS alert to her colleagues and screenwriters against making the lead cast take over a movie. She begged them to reduce the roles of the lead and make other casts important in a movie and admonished them to allow the lead casts to be surrounded by different themes to improve other casts.
