A directive has been reportedly issued to all Bet-Naija and Nairabet agents within Borno state to leave the state immediately according to Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima
Shettima during the 14th Annual Ramadan Lecture organized by Borno Radio Television Corporation in Maiduguri on Sunda, confirmed this as he beckoned on Muslims to unite for the common cause of salvaging the state against the influence of gambling and other social vices in the state
In his words,
“I have given directives to all Bet-Naija and Nairabet agents in the state to leave immediately. Drug and substance abuse gives birth to all immoral vices hence government’s determination to fight all forms of social vices,”
Meanwhile, agents of this betting/gambling companies remain and continue to fluorish while unhitched in other Nigerian states
