On Air Personality (OAP), Adekeye Esther aka Cute Kimani has aired her thoughts on the BBC sex for grades documentary, saying it is pitiful that people now object sex as a currency.
In a recent interview, Kimani as she’s fondly called said there should be no single reason for sex to be traded.
While lamenting that there are those who are harassed and pressured for sex, the OAP said there are many circumstances to which women are sexually harassed.“It is not only sex for grades we have, there are sex for roles in Nollywood, there are sex for jobs too, and so on,” she said.
While heaping praises on the documentary which exposed what female students face in tertiary institutions, Kimani said the university shouldn’t be an environment for sexually depraved people in a position of higher authority to act out their fantasies.
She maintained that school authorities need to be called to order and this has to happen as soon as possible.
She added, “I dare say that while we shine the torch on higher institutions, there’s need to also check on secondary schools, there are lots of molested teens in there who will be sent back into the world wounded.”
