Shallipopi humorously highlighted the irony of Nigerians flaunting Benz cars as a symbol of affluence and wealth, contrasting it with their everyday use in Germany. In a video, he playfully laughed at Nigerians who consider owning a Benz a status symbol when it’s a common sight in Germany.
Notably, this is not the first time an artist has commented on this matter. In November 2022, Portable voiced his opinion on the same topic, criticizing Nigerians who go to great lengths to maintain their Benz cars, covering them with trampolines to keep them looking new. He also poked fun at the notion of flaunting the same cars used as taxis in Germany.
Portable, who happened to be in Germany, took to his Instagram page to share a video showcasing Mercedes-Benz cars being utilized as taxis. He continued to taunt Nigerians who frequently boast about their Benz cars, emphasizing the contrast in how these vehicles are viewed in different parts of the world.
In a similar vein, back in October 2023, Shallipopi expressed his deep appreciation for Zlatan, crediting him for playing a role in helping him achieve stardom in the music industry.
He also acknowledged Zlatan’s selfless support and mentorship, emphasizing that Zlatan’s collaboration on the hit song “Elon Musk” significantly contributed to his rise to fame. He took to Instagram to convey his heartfelt gratitude to Zlatan for his instrumental role in his musical journey.
