Barely three days ago, Kemi Filani News exclusively reported that celebrated artistes, Simi and Adekunle Gold held a private traditional wedding ceremony in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Although reports had it at the time that the traditional ceremony was to be followed by a white wedding in Ilashe Beach on Thursday, it seems the couple have other plans.
In an interview with Punch Newspaper, Simi’s manager, Wale Bello has confirmed that she is indeed now married to Adekunle Gold as opposed to claims by some that the whole ceremony was for a music video.
Bello also shed light on the white wedding ceremony stating that a date is yet to be fixed. “Adekunle Gold and Simi are already married. They got married on Wednesday in a close-knit ceremony. It was the traditional marriage that they had and they have not yet fixed a date for the white wedding. Although some people are speculating that they would do their white wedding this week, it is false; they only did their traditional wedding”, he said.
On why the couple chose to hold a private wedding, Bello said it was their choice to keep is secret.
