Nigerian legendary singer, John Odafe Asiemo better known as Daddy Showkey has paid a visit to his childhood home.
The ‘galala’ singer took a walk down memory lane by visiting his childhood home.
Showkey revealed that he was born in a one-room house and grew up there with his mother and brothers.
He disclosed that he decided to retain the room where he slept because of the memories attached to it.
He mentioned that he still pays the rent of the room without knowing his present occupants.
He prayed for the children in the compound to be as successful as him.
He said in the video,
“This is where I was born
This is the compound I grew up
This is where I shot the video of my song ‘Diana'”.
He captioned the video with :
“I took a visit to the house and the room I use to leave with my mother and my brothers you can’t believe I was born in the house in this same room, I still retain the room I still pay for the room till date I don’t even know who is leaving in the room today I have a lot of history in that house, oh my God”.
Kemi Filani recalls that the singer sent a message to those who are in the habit of finding faults in people.
His message was directed at those who enjoy faulting people’s charitable deeds.
“Message to you and you that see fault in someone doing Good to somebody else, because it’s not you but if it’s you it becomes a very wonderful act, No be so oh thank God for another person so that your own time come dem go thank God for you too
