Famous Nigerian singer and Barrister, Falz has honored those that were shot at and killed at the Lekki toll gate on October 20, 2020.
This comes after he made a declaration alongside some celebrities to carry out a memorial EndSARS procession while in their cars for those who had lost their lives in the cause of liberation.
KemifilaniNews recalls that the Nigerian youths had engaged in a peaceful protest against police brutality and bad leadership. However, what stood as a peaceful protest turned out to be a bloody barrage by the Nigerian military at the Lekki Tollgate a year ago.
The government had since denied the raid on the innocent lives who had died during the period of the massacre.
Taking to his Instagram page, he disclosed that those that were massacred will forever live in his heart as they had sacrificed their existence for a bigger cause.
He wrote:
365 days ago, Nigerian citizens were shot and killed at the toll gate by our own military men.
Today we honour them because they have sacrificed their very existence for a cause bigger than all of us.
They live forever in our hearts đź•Š
