In a recent interview, singer Seyi Vibez narrated his ordeal with scammers, while he was a hopeful thirteen-year-old, trying to get into the music industry.
He stated that he had gone online to google how to get into Starboy Inc, which is owned by Wizkid.
While he was at it, Seyi Vibez said that he got a number from his search, and the person claimed to be a personal assistant of some sorts to Wizkid.
The so-called personal assistant demanded for ten thousand Naira as registration fee for Starboy Inc, and Seyi Vibez believed him.
With a lot of hope in his heart, Seyi Vibez said that he sold his phone and gave the money to the scammer, and the rest is history.
Even though he was scammed at the ripe age of 13, it didn’t stop Seyi Vibez from pursuing music, and reaching this peak point in his career.
Seyi Vibez stormed the music industry with his unique sound that has made him stand out. Some describe his music as Afro-Fuji, because of the pulsing sound of most of his beats, and the fact that he sings mostly in Yoruba.
The journey through music hasn’t been entirely smooth for Seyi Vibez, as he has encountered a few hitches on the way.
In 2023, he had a public spat with fellow trenches King Portable over who the king of the trenches was.
This fight witnessed both singers showing off their wealth, and spraying money on the streets in their old neighborhoods.
Seyi Vibez isn’t the only person Portable has had beef with, as he has had his fair share of online fights over time.
From his baby mamas, down to his manager and show promoters, Portable has had issues with all the aforementioned people.
Bobrisky also made it to Portable’s cut unprovoked, as the singer beefed him for dressing like a woman. When Bobrisky retaliated, he released a diss song for him titled ‘Brotherhood’.
