Congratulations have been pouring in for actor Odunlade Adekola as his latest movie, Orisa keeps breaking records in the cinema.
The actor is obviously on its way to smash Funke Akindele’s record in the box office as the highest grossing Nigerian movie of all time.
A recent post shared online by Odunlade Adekola revealed that his movie has grossed over 60 million naira at the cinema and just within two weeks of ita launch.
Asides from beating Funke Akindele as the highest grossing filmmaker, Odunlade’s film broke some records in it’s two weeks.
He broke the record for the Nollywood movies that maintained the number 1 spot for 2 consecutive weeks, the biggest indigenous film of 2023 and biggest Nollywood of 2023.

Funke Akindele breaks Nigerian records again
Kemi Filani recalls that Funke Akindele broke another record in the Nigerian film industry. She beat her own records for the highest-grossing film at the Nigeria box office.
A post shared by Film One revealed that Funke Akindele’s latest movie, Battle on Buka Street, broke the record of her 2020 released film, Omo Ghetto The Saga.
Battle on Buka Street netted 640 million naira at the box office, beating Omo Ghetto the Saga of 636 million naira.
Filmone on Instagram noted that the only competition the actress had was with herself.
