Suspended RCCG clergyman Pastor Idowu Iluyomade has finally launched his church, Family Fellowship.
The former senior pastor of the City of David Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), who was suspended following criticisms from his wife’s birthday party, has opened his church in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Videos from his church service, which was held on Sunday, January 19th, are currently making rounds online. In the clip, the clergyman was seen dancing with his members as they appreciated God during the service. Noticeably absent from the video was his wife, Siju Iluyomade.
Kemi Filani reported last year Pastor Iluyomade had earned massive backlash after he celebrated his wife’s 60th birthday in a grand style. Many believed the birthday, which was celebrated just about a week after the unfortunate death of Wigwe in a helicopter crash in the US, was in bad taste.
Following this, RCCG suspended him and replaced him with Pastor Charles Kpandei. According to reports, the church’s Governing council suspended Pastor Iluyomade for three months and a panel was set up to investigate some of the allegations against him and the parish.
The video of him at his church service has divided the internet, as many noted how the church is now a business center.
