‘Stay strong, brother’ Taaooma, Broda Shaggi, Toke Makinwa, others console Lasisi Elenu over mom’s death

Lasisi Elenu

Nigerian comedians and skit makers such as Taaoomo, Broda Shaggi, and other celebrities have reached out to their colleague Lasisi Elenu following the death of his mother.

Kemi Filani News earlier reported that Lasisi Elenu took to his Instagram page to announce the death of his mother, which he described as the saddest moment of his life.

In the lengthy post, Lasisi Elenu, with much pain in his heart, bid farewell to his mother, who he called as his biggest fan, and laughed at little things he said and did.

According to Lasisi Elenu, his mother fought sickness for a long time and gave all she could, but the world was unfair.

While expressing how much he would miss his mother, Lasisi Elenu said his mother gave him many memories, and growing up was like a movie.

Reacting to the post, his colleague stormed the comment section urging Lasisi to stay strong as his mother is in a better place.

taaooma wrote: Stay strong Lasisi, She’s in a better place. May God comfort you.

brodashaggi wrote: Stay strong brother

tokemakinwa wrote: stay strong. May her soul rest easy

iambisola wrote: So sorry for your loss. God rest her soul Amen.

Kemi Filani News recalls Lasisi Elenu revealed that God’s grace kept him going when he wanted to give up.

Speaking in an interview with Kemi Filani News, the bearded entertainer said:” Yes, there were times I wanted to give up. The most successful minds on earth have all experienced breaking points where they have gotten to their thresholds that they just want to give up. The grace of God and my talent was able to keep me going”.

Asked how he is able to play diverse roles in his skits, Lasisi said:”It is what is expected of someone who is an entertainer, being able to have a lot of diversity in what you do. That says a lot about the talent you claim to possess. For me it’s a gift I have and I don’t take it for granted. I am excited I am able to switch characters, portray them and play them extremely well”.

Lasisi who is fond of playing the role of a Pastor in his Sunday skits, noted that he knows there is a difference between blasphemy and being comical.

“I do a lot of research before I put out content. I know the difference between blasphemy and being comical. They are two different things. The stories I tell as a pastor, if you watch them, they are not stories that will hurt people’s feelings. I won’t say I am out of line in playing those characters”.
