Nollywood actor, Olaiya Igwe has been summoned by The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPAN) over his controversial unclad video.
The actor will reportedly face a disciplinary committee, set up by the association, over a video that showed him praying naked at the beach for the victory of the presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, Bola Tinubu.
Actress and TAMPAN executive, Rose Odika, confirmed to Sunday Scoop that Olaiya had been summoned to face a disciplinary panel to explain himself, he has yet to appear before it.
She said, “He has the right to support whoever he wants to, but we have the moral justification angle. We are looking at the morality behind that advert (video). It is not about who he is supporting. It is about him breaching the code of ethics (of our association and industry.”
However, when correspondent from Scoop reached out to Olaiya, he stated that he was not aware of such move by TAMPAN. He said, “I don’t know who discussed that with you. I did not hear anything about that. God bless you.”
Olaiya Igwe goes unclad for Tinubu
Last month, KFN reported that many were left disappointed when he shared a video of himself n**ked praying for BAT.
In his caption, Olaiya revealed that it is his pleasure to support a candidate who truly reflects our values and highest ideals.
He believed that BAT would be the best to protect our dreams and fight hard to keep the promise of Nigeria for the next generation.

Olaiya on why he went naked to pray for BAT
Clarifying why he went naked in an interview with TVC, ‘Your View’, he revealed that he was commanded to do it spiritually.
According to him, a voice spoke to him while he slept, and told him to prove his love for Asiwaju by going naked and praying for him.
“I was asked to stand up and do it spiritually. I have a gift of revelation by Almighty God.
Sometimes I see what God plans for me ahead before it happens.
I was sleeping that day and a voice came to me and said, “Please stand up! You said you love Asiwaju and he has been assisting you and I said yes.
The voice told me to stand up and go do it”, he said.
