The rich Men behind the expensive lifestyle of actress Tayo Sobola have been unveiled.
Kemi Filani News recalls that Tayo Sobola aka Sotayo, as she is fondly called, caused a stir on December 30, 2016, when she hosted a birthday party. Tagged ‘A December To Remember,’ Sotayo definitely had a memorable birthday party especially when she was presented a car gift. It was a Mercedes Benz G-wagon.
When Kemi Ashefon asked her in an interview three years ago on who gave her the car gift, Sotayo responded, “I was surprised during my party when I was asked to come and take a look at the vehicle. It was a surprise gift and I cannot say if the giver was a man or woman. That day, just like other guests, I was extremely surprised and kept asking who brought it. Till date, I have not heard from or seen the giver.”
Well, not many knew that Senator Tokunbo Afikuyomi bought her the vehicle.
Afikuyomi? A Senator who served two terms between 1999-2007 representing the Lagos Central Constituency? Yes. He was also a commissioner during Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola government in Lagos State? The answer remains yes.
Well, she was intimately close to him and ‘Chief Daddy’ compensated her with a car.
Now running a fashion house, Sotayo, who produced and starred in movies such as, “Arewa Onijogbon” and “Corper Jide,” was a TV presenter, model and video vixen before delving into acting in 2006.
A graduate of Public Administration from the Olabisi Onabanjo University, Ogun State, she also earned a Diploma in Law at the Lagos State University.She has produced a handful of movies since her foray into Nollywood.
“She was allegedly dating Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya aka MC Oluomo, who is the current Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers. MC Oluomo sponsored most of the movies she produced. Though Sotayo debunked the story, everyone close to MC Oluomo knew about the affair,” a source revealed to Kemi Ashefon.
But currently, Sotayo has caught a big fish which she cannot swallow in a long while.
Alleged to be a major concubine of Senator Ganiyu Solomon, Sotayo lives like a queen. She wears the best attire to any party, wears exotic designer shoes/bags; flaunts expensive jewellery and other precious stones, she spends quite a huge amount of cash on her skin and makes luxurious trips abroad.
Wondering who Senator Ganiyu Solomon is? Well, the gentleman was elected to the Senate in 2007, where he represented the Lagos West Constituency from May 29, 2007 to May 28, 2011.
Sometimes ago, the rumour mill went agog that Sotayo was allegedly married to the Senator. In fact, the Senator’s younger sister referred to Sotayo as ‘our wife’ in a post on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Sotayo is feeding fat on her new catch and she is not resting on her oars—she is fast becoming one of Nollywood Yoruba ‘Super Big Gal.’
Recently, she was in Oyo town dressed to the nines, looking like a queen. It was the installation of Wasiu Ayinde Marshal as the Mayegun of Yorubaland and Sotayo was the toast of the event.
