Music executive Teebillz and ex-husband to sensational female singer Tiwa Savage has sparked reactions from social media users after attributing the success in Afrobeats to his colleague Don Jazzy.
Sharing a throwback photo on his Instagram page, Teebillz said without Don Jazzy, Afroats would not be a global pride as he recalls how he and Don Jazzy spoke about Afroabeats, and it eventually came to life.
He wrote: Without that guy next to me, Afoabeats won’t be a global pride…we spoke about it and it came to life! Afroabeats Don! Blessing my G.
The statement did not sit well with many Nigerians who slammed Teebillz for being talkative and spewing rubbish about the music industry.
Some netizens opined that Don Jazzy had contributed immensely to the entertainment industry; however, Nigerian legendary singer 2face should be given credit when it comes to international exposure.
