Nigerian singer Teniola Apata popularly known as Teni, has broken silence on the alleged kidnap during a performance on stage in River State,
In a post on her Instagram page moments ago, Teni expressed appreciation to God, stating that it would have been a different story.
Teni added that she and her entire team are safe while thanking everyone who had reached out to her through calls and messages.
She wrote: I don japaaaaa yng duck. Could have been a different story entirely but I’m grateful to God. Myself and the entire team are safe and back home now. Thanks for the call and messages.
Kemi Filani News earlier reported that what was supposed to be a night of fun for Teni and music lovers turned to soar as gunshot interrupted the show.
According to an eyewitness, the Teni’s bouncers foiled the kidnapping attempt by firing randomly into the air.
However, music executive Soso Berekon refuted the claims that singer Teni narrowly escaped being kidnapped in River State during her performance.
Soso Berekon while reacting to the post on an Instagram blog, said that Teni’s bouncer did not release any gunshot.
He added that the disruption of the show was due to a fight that broke out at the event and was never a kidnapping attempt.
He wrote: Bouncer shot? Lies!! It was a fight not kidnap.
