Nigerian singer Gabriel Othe Amanyi, better known by his stage name, Terry G, has responded to those trolling him for his dead career.
In an Instagram post, he let them know that legends are respected for life. Using the Hollywood music couple Beyonce and Jay Z as a case study, he noted how their impact is honoured.
However, in Africa, especially Nigeria, they’re quick to discard their own, and that’s why they believe their ancestors are evil, while Western ancestors are seen as gods.

In another post, he discussed his name change and how people believed it would end his career. Terry set the record straight that his journey didn’t end and that changing his name was divinely redirected.
“They say my career ended the day I became Terry Gzus.

In a past interview, Terry G spilled some surprising details about the type of songs he sings and the significance they hold. He boldly expressed that he was a secular musician and that when he sings, he sings for the devil. He also gave reasons why he said what he said.
Early last year, the popular singer had called out his colleagues for shunning him. He expressed sadness over how all his efforts to reach out to some of his colleagues during his tough times had proved abortive, as no one responded to him. He questioned if it was fair the way they were treating him as he further questioned if it was when he was dead before they would organize remembrance for him.
