At the AMVCA Cultural Day event on Friday, Big Brother Naija’s former housemate, Venita Akpofure, won the Best Dressed Female category. The event, which had celebrities beautifully dressed in traditional outfits, had Venita and her cousin, Neo, emerging as the night’s winners. This would be the second time in a role Venita has won the category, as last year, she, alongside Yemi Cregx, emerged the winner.
Many weren’t pleased with Venita winning the award for the second time in a role, as some noted how Liquorose was better dressed than her.
A day back, Nigerian celebrity stylist and designer Toyin Lawani of Tiannah Empire had called out the AMVCA over their lack of theme each year.
She noted how AMVCA has never declared a theme for their event, as she questioned why people wouldn’t dress how they like when they don’t give a theme.
