Nollywood actress Toni Tones has opened up on her personal and love life with her fiance, Taiwo Ogebule.
In an interview on the We Need To Talk podcast, Toni broke down in tears as she spoke about how her fiance loves her in a way that she doesn’t question anything and has never been loved like this. She stated that she is so sure of his love because he loves her harder than she loves him. She expressed how blessed she is to have met him.
“He loves me in a way that I don’t question anything and I have never been in love like that before. I can be in Mount Everest, but I am so sure of the love he has for me. He loves me harder than I feel like I love him. This is the first time in my life that I love someone, and he loves back. I feel so blessed to have met him and the distance is easy because he loves me with everything”.
Speaking out on her long-distance relationship with her fiance, she admitted that though it can be hard, especially for women, she feels reassured based on not just his words but actions as she is his number 1 priority.
“I feel like long-distance relationships can be hard, especially on women, because they don’t feel reassured. I feel reassured in this relationship based on not just his words but actions. I am his number 1 priority”.
Elsewhere in the interview, Toni said that the more successful and popular a woman is, the fewer the number of men that will approach or DM her as they assume she is either too expensive for them to bag or 1000 men are toasting her. She also said that the better understanding of what we’re looking for, we have a better understanding of what we will and won’t accept.
Her fiance also touched on how he had to brush off a lot of people telling him he wasn’t rich enough to bag her. He also said that he had to unlearn the idea that he had to be uber-successful before getting into a relationship.
Some years back, Toni Tones recalled how she ended a relationship after the first date just because her love interest at that time asked her to quit her job to start a business. She stated that he wanted her to give up her lifelong dream and career that she spent years building so she could always hang out with him.
In another social media post, she stated that it isn’t every woman who wants marriage from a relationship. She noted how people are quick to assume what she wants in her life because she defends the decisions of other women when in reality, she is only recognizing how entitled women are to make their choices.
Toni Tones reiterated that not every woman wants marriage from a relationship, and some just want to have fun, explore the world, and do little things with their partners.
