These past few days seem to see a lot of celebrity fallout with their proteges as Toyin Abraham has parted ways with her protege, Abike Shuga.
Born Pelumi Olawunmi, Abike Shuga, who was the main cast of Toyin Abraham’s recent movie, Malaika had a rough fallout with her boss over Funke Akindele.
Kemi Filani first noticed their relationship had deteriorated when Abike Shuga was noticeably missing in many of Malaika’s campaigns and Toyin Abraham stopped promoting her heavily on her social media page. Kemi Filani did further research and noticed Toyin Abraham had unfollowed her on Instagram, meanwhile, Abike Shuga is still following the mother of one.
Kemi Filani learned that Abike had first unfollowed Toyin Abraham and she returned the favor, but she later apologized and refollowed but Toyin didn’t return the favor. According to reports online, Abike had refused to promote Malaika after it was released stating that she didn’t beg to be featured in the movie, which left Toyin disappointed. To make it worse, Abike who is a fan of Funke Akindele had shared a video of her unboxing her invite to the premiere of A Tr!be Called Judah.

Just a few days back, Toyin Abraham had blocked an influencer for comparing her with Funke Akindele.
An X influencer, Adetutu Balogun irked the actress when she mockingly compared her victory at the box office with Funke Akindele and Mercy Aigbe’s victory, stating that Funke will forever be the boss.
Following this Toyin had clicked the block button on her and she had lamented over it.
Recall that for years Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele were beefing after they both chose the same date, September 10, 2021, to release their movies; ‘Ghost and the Tout Too’ in the cinemas and ‘Omo Ghetto the Saga’ on Netflix. Iyabo Ojo further fueled the rivalry by calling out Funke days after the movies were released, for paying a popular movie citric to ruin Toyin’s movie.
However, the two ladies settled their differences as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday last year and she reciprocated.
Also, Toyin had attended Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, She Just Be Obeyed, which further shut down any rumors of animosity between the box office Queens
Similarly, late last year, a report made rounds online that Funke and Tobi are having issues because Tobi wants to explore other fields but Funke doesn’t want him to work for other productions except hers.
To verify the news, Kemi Filani did a check on Tobi Makinde’s Instagram page and noticed that Funke Akindele hasn’t been liking or commenting on his posts like she used to. Kemi Filani even noticed that she omitted him when giving a shout-out at her premiere and he isn’t in any promotional video or skit for Funke Akindele’s new movie, A Tr!be Called Judah, rather Juliana Olayode has been the one helping the box office Queen promote her new project, which Tobi Makinde directed.
While others supported Tobi from moving away from her, others reminded him of his colleague, Juliana Olayode popularly known as Toyo Baby who took such steps but returned to the actress.
