Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham Ajeyemi couldn’t withhold her happiness for her colleague and long-time friend, Kehinde Bankole, as she bagged an award at the just concluded AMVCA ceremony.
Kemi Filani reported that at the 10th edition of the award ceremony, Kehinde Bankole beat other contending nominees to win the Best Lead Actress for her phenomenal role in Adire. This would be the second time the movie star has won the Best Actress title as she first won it in 2015.
In a video captured online, Toyin was seen hailing Kehinde following her win. She declared the movie star the best actress in Africa and expressed pride in her. The video captured Kehinde in the centre as Toyin rounded her, singing her praises.
Captioning the video, Kehinde expressed love for her, as she described Toyin as her friend with a fine face who loves to play too much.
“@toyin_abraham Dada, my friend with a fine face and too much playfulness. Ha wahala e po, my dearest. I love you truly”.
Commenting on it, Toyin noted how she has turned Kehinde into something else as she congratulated her once again for the award.
“I have turned you into something else; congratulations once again, my baby. Love u so much”.
This isn’t the first time Toyin Abraham has shown love and support for her. Sometime back, Toyin had showered praises on Kehinde Bankole over her achievement.
Though she didn’t disclose what Kehinde achieved, Toyin expressed pride in Kehinde and how eager she was for the world to see the magic she had about to create.
A day before the AMVCA, Bankole had gotten the internet talking m over her appearance at the AMVCA Cultural Day event. Kehinde showed up in an outfit which showed off her cleavage. The movie star looked quite uncomfortable in the outfit, and this had gotten many talking.
In other news, Bankole had hinted at a personal struggle as she shared a cryptic post via her Instagram page revealing that she had been battling an unspecified personal issue that had worsened by the day.
Giving an update to it, Kehinde noted how it’s okay for one to share the not-so-cool part of their lives with the public. The delectable screen goddess revealed her struggle as she stated that she was putting her shyness aside to receive encouragement from her fans.
