Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has once again fueled the rivalry between her and her colleague, Funke Akindele, over her latest move.
The movie star had earlier penned a note to the Executive Head of Multichoice, Bisola Tejumola, following the 10th edition of the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards ceremony, held at Eko Hotel and Suites on May 11th.
She described this year’s event as the best and realest. Appreciating her, she stated that she did well and expressed love for her.
“Best and release AMVCA ever. Well done, @busola_tejumola. You did well, and Yes, we love you, @africamagic; well done”.
Her post didn’t sit well with many who assumed she was taking a dig at her rival, Funke Akindele, who lost all her nominations. As such, they stormed her comment section to drag her mercilessly. Following the hate comments, Toyin Abraham deleted the post.

It is no longer news that there have been years of rivalry between the two screen goddesses, Toyin Abraham and Funke Akindele, as they have both dominated the TV screen for years and are still doing so.
However, the two ladies settled their differences last year as Toyin Abraham celebrated Funke on her birthday, and she reciprocated. Toyin had also attended Funke Akindele’s movie premiere, which further shut down rumours of animosity between the box office Queens.
Last week, Toyin penned an open letter to Funke, speaking about how fan wars caused their unnecessary feud and congratulated her for achieving the one billion landmark in the cinema. Funke reacted to the post, wishing Toyin all the best.
She later reignited movie battle with Funke after she teased her newest project, a sequel to her popular movie, Alakada, which will premiere in December. The news left many divided as some noted how the actress was following in the footsteps of her rival, Funke Akindele, who announced a week before her that she was releasing a sequel to her hit movie, Jenifa.
Later, she shared a cryptic post, stating that no one is perfect, as she noted how people make mistakes. However, they get up, learn, grow, move on and live.
