Nigerian celebrity designer Toyin Lawani is reflecting on her painful pregnancy journey as he daughter turns three today, August 26th, 2024.
In a lengthy post on her Instagram page, she expressed how grateful she was that her daughter, Tinuke Eleora chose her as her mother. She stated that it was just like yesterday when she remembered that her doctors told her she couldn’t carry her baby to term due to degenerative spine disease and this left her crying for three days non-stop.
She, however, didn’t give up and nothing they told her swayed her to go through with parting ways with her pregnancy, even how it affected her health. Toyin stated that she endured the pain and is glad she eventually pulled through.

I’m so grateful you chose me to be your mom,

I remember the day my doctors told me I couldn’t carry you to term,

even upon how it affected my health so badly,
I couldn’t get myself to do it,
Enduring the pain wasn’t easy,
But I’m glad I did and we pulled through eventually,
