Music executive and talent manager Ubi Franklin isn’t done venting over claims of alleged watch theft at music star Davido’s wedding.
Kemi Filani reported that Ubi Franklin had earlier denied claims that he stole a luxury wristwatch in Miami. Describing the report as false and misleading allegations, he explained the events in Miami.
Franklin said he had been approached by a man named Benny, who offered to sell him a wristwatch. He added that Benny sent his brother to deliver another wristwatch during the church service, which Franklin purchased and paid for in full.
According to him, he left Miami immediately after the wedding to prepare for his sister’s funeral and was contacted by Benny while airborne regarding the other wristwatch. Franklin described the situation as “an extremely difficult and sensitive time” for him and his family, adding that this would be his final comment.
Still taking to his Instagram story, Ubi claimed that he knows the person who fabricated the story and questioned why people love to hate. He stated that if anyone doesn’t like him, it’s cool, but they shouldn’t spread false information.

In May, during the 30bg trip to Abuja, rumours made rounds online that Ubi and Cubana Chief Priest were involved in a heated physical confrontation at the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. Addressing it, Franklin said anyone who believes the story is a f**l.
In other news, the music executive had stirred the internet after he shaded Davido’s ex-lawyer, Prince Ajudua. He made reference to Prince’s father, who was accused of scamming people some years back.
Last year, singer, Kizz Daniel had raised eyebrows after he blocked Ubi Franklin from Instagram, and Ubi had reacted, questioning if he should speak out. Kemi Filani later learned that Ubi had gotten Kizz a N150 million gig and had demanded a 10% royalty, which Kizz agreed to. Ubi sealed the deal for him and took out his percentage, and sent the rest to Kizz, who threatened him to send the whole money as he wanted to account properly. To his surprise, Kizz only sent N7.5 million to him, and when Ubi demanded his balance, he made him know that the 10% agreement was between him and his brother.
