Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo is the latest celebrity to have a face-off with a troll over her age.
A troll, had via the comment section of one of her birthday posts, reminded the movie star that kids born in 1986 are the ones turning 38 years this year. The troll stated that the actress was already a full grown woman when she started acting movies then. She added that she hopes the movie star was honest about her age to her boyfriend.
“Aunty. Don’t forget that the kids born in 1986 are the ones turning 38 years this year. You were already a full grown woman when you started acting movies then. Hopefully you told that little boy you’re married to your real age. Yeye!!”.
Replying her, Uche questioned what was wrong with her as she expressed how disgusted she was over her statement.
“What is really wrong with some of you? Gush! Disgusted”.
Not done airing out her displeasure over the troll’s statement, she took to her Instagram story to further question if insecurity was what led to this.
She made the troll know that while she was sleeping, she was already a star.
“What is really wrong with people like this? Is it age insecurity or what? Haba! I became a star while you were sleeping, how is that my fault?
You should be ashamed of yourself”.
In February, while celebrating her 35th birthday, Nkechi Blessing had lashed out at those accusing her of reducing her age.
Nkechi stated that they could keep choking on her age as she shamed them for being stagnant. According to her, she isn’t the reason why they are stagnant at their age.
Similarly, Actress, Caroline Danjuma was mercilessly dragged online last year after she claimed she was turning 35, which left many in disbelief.
Reacting to it, Caroline slammed her trolls, calling them unintelligent. She also shared photos of her mother who she stated was in her 50s, as she questioned how she could be in her 40s and to those asking for her certificates, she questioned if they had ever demanded the certificate of their parents before believing their age.
To add to it, Similarly, Big Brother Naija winner, Mercy Eke came under fire after her real age was exposed. An unbothered Mercy Eke sarcastically addressed it, and in an exchange with a troll, she revealed her real age.
Her sister, Sweery Eke, had taken to her defense, as she shared a screenshot of Mercy’s birth certificate, noting how in 2050 people would still be talking about her sister’s success and age. Sweery added that the only thing they have against her sister is because of the level of access she has at 30 as she went on to list Mercy Eke’s accomplishments
