Nollywood actress, Uchenna Nnanna and her husband, Richard Maduka are celebrating 8 years of blissful marriage.
The couple who got married at a lavish wedding ceremony in 2014 took to their respective Instagram pages to celebrate 8 years of love.
Uchenna admitted to the world that her marriage has been tough as she and her husband are two imperfect beings.
She, however stated that their determination to make the union work has been their strength.
She wrote, “Meet these 2 imperfect human beings who came together in marriage on 21/04/2014. It has not been easy all these years of course just like every other relationships out there but because we are determined to make it work and with God on our side surely we remain faithful and good to each other”.
Her husband on his part wrote, “Heaven is the only thing to be compared to this home that you and I have built together. Happy 8th anniversary my love. You are such a gorgeous personality, and I am so glad to call you mine. Grateful heart, Wedding anniversary, God is good, God is in control”.
Kemi Filani news recalls Uche Nnanna had urged ladies not to wait for any special day to celebrate their partners.
In an interview with Punch, she said every young ladies should endeavour to always celebrate their partners and not on wait till Valentine’s Day to express that show of love.
According to the mother of two, a responsible partner knows what to do to make their partner happy and a loving partner would show love every day, even if they don’t have money.
Sharing her thoughts about young people who put pressure on their partners over Valentine’s Day celebration, she said, “I believe young people who take Valentine’s Day celebration too seriously are yet to understand life. There is no particular day when one needs to demand something extra from one’s partner. I am a married woman, and I show love to my husband all the time. I don’t have to wait until Valentine’s Day to let my husband know how much I love him. Since I got married, I have never celebrated Valentine’s Day with my husband, and it’s not because we don’t want to. But, we have never had a chance to be together on Valentine’s Day since we got married. I cannot even recollect any remarkable Valentine’s Day (I had) while I was single. I believe people should show love to their partners every day, not just on Valentine’s Day.”
