Popular social media critic, Martins Vincent Otse better known as Very Dark Man has lashed out at Nollywood stars over their lack of support for their ailing senior colleague, Mr Ibu.
Following the bombshell revelation by his wife that the Actors Guild of Nigeria hasn’t been supporting her husband, Very Dark Man has fired back at them.
He insisted that the guild lacked structure as he initially argued; hence, the reason for the attack on his personality from Nollywood stars over his statement.
Addressing his attackers, he stated that many of them were lying and using the actor’s ailment to chase clout while adding that he could see the reason why they were attacking him.
“Actors Guide of Nigeria (Most Nollywood actors) are lying and using Mr Ibu to chase clout. No wonder they were picking on me”.
He added, “To the people that attacked me on Mr Ibu’s issue. Can y’all see what Me Ibu’s wife is saying. Oju aye”.
Kemi Filani reported that Mr Ibu’s wife, Stella Maris, in a viral video had called out the AGN over their lack of support for her husband.
She claimed that the statement released by the Guild was only to save their faces as it is completely untrue.
This came after Kate Henshaw, on behalf of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, had dismissed reports that they abandoned Mr Ibu, as she stated that they had been at the forefront of providing necessary support to Mr Ibu even before his condition was made public.
Hours ago, Kate Henshaw had addressed Stella Maris, tackling her for lying as she stated that the Guild has been supportive of the actor since 2021.
She noted how Stella Maris is at her wit’s end, hence the statement, however, saying the Guild hasn’t been helpful to her husband is untrue.
Recall that on Wednesday, Mr Ibu, who is currently hospitalized, had cried out to the public for help as he battles an ailment that could get him amputated.
Nigerian music sensations Davido and P-Square, along with the popular personality Tunde Ednut, had offered to cover the medical expenses of the legendary actor.
Former senate president, Bukola Saraki had cleared off his medical bills through his foundation.
