Nigerian social media activist Very Dark Man has appealed to the celebrities who contributed to popular crossdresser Bobrisky while he was in prison.
It is no longer news that the crossdresser was arrested over naira abuse and was sent to jail for six months. The crossdresser was released from prison on August 5, 2024, and in an Instagram post, Bobrisky penned a heartfelt note to those celebrities who donated money to him. He appreciated Don Jazzy, Eniola Ajao, Victor Osimhen, Funke Akindele, Sotayo Gaga, Tonto Dikeh, Biodun Okeowo, and more for contributing millions of naira to him.
In a post on his Instagram page, he prayed that the God who used them to contribute N70 million to Bobrisky should touch their hearts to contribute to the feeding of the kids that have been hit by the flood in Maiduguri, Borno State.
“The God that used you guys to contribute over 70 million nairas to Bobrisky should please touch your hearts at this hour to contribute to the feeding of these kids that have been hit by flood, a flood that has claimed lives and d€stroyed properties. To Kashim Shettima, the vice president of Nigeria, the alleged rice that was donated by you hasn’t gotten to Borno Abi na audio rice. And if eventually, it gets here what plans does the government have to give a solution to this issue because if something isn’t done on time, Nigeria might face serious insecurity problems from this negligence of the youngins”.
This isn’t the first time, VDM is addressing these celebrities. When Bobrisky first spoke on it, VDM, in a series of posts, slammed the celebrities as he noted how they can’t help build boreholes for communities without clean water or send children to schools. He questioned if they were sleeping with the crossdresser or if he was pimping them to top politicians.
In another post, he had slammed those chastising him for calling them out. VDM made them know that he wasn’t seeking validation from anyone as he questioned the essence of celebrity friendship.
