Bishop Febi Idahosa, a Nigerian Pastor, the Bishop of Church of God Mission International Headquarters who is happily married to Laurie Idahosa has recounted how he lost his first son while giving a sermon of hope to his Instagram followers earlier today, January 20, 2022.
In the message, the Man of God admonished his followers not to despair when faced with challenges as God will make them smile again.
“The fear of “what if?” — When we lost our first son in his 12th hour of life, after 5 years of trying…the enemy tried to control us with fear and doubt.
What if that was our last chance?
What if we could not have another child?
What if God didn’t answer this time?
That last question is really the heart of the matter. The devil wants you to think God won’t answer YOU. “What if you pray and there’s no answer” he whispers.
You might be in a place where you’re worried by the question of “what if?” The question is not, “God, will you protect me or answer me?” but rather Jesus’s question to us, “Why are you afraid?” (Matthew 8:26). Here’s the answer. God always hears. He will give you the best answer that fits your future.
For us, He answered and gave us the 3 boys pictured here. He will give you an answer. But more importantly, He will remove your fear. You will smile again.!
Why ladies should stop living in parent’s house before marriage – Rev Idahosa Laurie
Kemi Filani recalls that Rev Laurie Idahosa recently criticized the school of thought that opines that young female adults must live with their parents till they get married and move in with their husbands.
Rev. Mrs. Laurie Idahosa revealed she moved out from her Parent’s house at 17 to be independent.
“A woman should be independent before marriage. In the Bible, Proverbs 31 woman is one very hardworking woman..doing remarkable things, overseeing things…doing something…so a woman shouldn’t wait till she is married before stepping into her calling and destiny.
Once you are an adult, there is nothing wrong with you stepping out to navigate the destined part of your life, young adult women should have the freedom to explore life, business, opportunities, and dreams.
I don’t believe a lady should stay in her father’s house till marriage, a responsible young adult should take responsibility, sometimes you get married, and it’s not exactly what you thought it was going to be. “
She further reiterated her point saying “When sending a woman to her husband’s wife, she should be an asset not a liability, she should have networks and more…she needs time to become….so as to avoid stories or situations like’, ‘my dad took care of me and now my husband should too’… she should add value to her husband and not just be dependent on him. ”
