Nollywood actress Rita Dominic took to Instagram to mourn the deaths of her fallen colleagues in a recent post.
In the post she made, Rita Dominic wrote;
“Sometimes one can’t even find the right words.. But who are we mere mortals to Question God.. May their souls and all the souls of the faithful departed, Rest In Peace, Amen…”
In the video attached to her post, Rita Dominic included clips of herself and the late Adejumoke, who could be seen dancing and having fun.
She also included a clip of the late Junior Pope posing around in a dapper outfit.
The post she made reflected the fallen actors in their prime, and it was clear that Rita Dominic was touched by their deaths.
Over the past four months, Nollywood has lost about four actors, including Mr Ibu, Amaechi Muonagor, Aderounmu Adejumoke, and Junior Pope.
Mr Ibu had been I’ll since 2023, and even had to seek for monetary help, in order to get money for his treatment.
Amaechi Muonagor was also I’ll for a while, and he lost his life while battling with illness.
The cause of Aderounmu Adejumoke’s death remains largely unknown, as none of her relatives have revealed her cause of death.
Lastly, Junior apple died in an unfortunate boating accident a few days, ago which claimed the lives of others as well.
A lot of controversy has followed Junior Pope’s death, as people are calling for the producer of the last movie he was in to be banned from making movies.
Also, Don Jazzy recently supported the movement to ban movie making in Asaba, for several reasons, including exploitation of young actors, and the unsafe nature of some sets.
Basically, Nollywood has been thrown into a turmoil that has affected a lot of Nigerians too. The losses experienced in Nollywood seem to be happening back to back.
