ROK TV boss and Nollywood actress Mary Njoku has given details on why people who are not close to you show love to you more when you are successful.
Taking to her Instagram page, the mother of three said it is not surprising when you see those who you grew up with together end up not accepting you because you have achieved more than them.
According to the actress, strangers who knew nothing about your past life are those that would surprisingly show support and love in your career and business growth.
In her opinion, some of the friends you grew up with or families are full of bitterness and hate, thus spreading unrealistic rumours about your growth, which might destroy the image you have been building.
She wrote:
WHEN YOU ‘BLOW’ PEOPLE CLOSE TO YOU, FIND IT HARD TO ACCEPT THAT YOU CAME FROM THE SAME PLACE BECAUSE THEY ARE STILL THERE.
DON’T BE SURPRISED IF ALL THE LOVE AND SUPPORT COME FROM STRANGERS.
