Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, Ayo Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has shut down rumours that he will be one of the guest artistes at his longtime industry rival, David Adeleke, alias Davido’s headline show at the O2 Arena in London.
Rumours of the “Essence” crooner joining Davido on stage at his second 02 Arena show have been making the rounds on the Internet for some days now.
But Big Wiz has shut down the rumours by announcing he will be performing at another event same date as Davido’s show, in the United Arab Emirates.
He took to his verified Twitter page on Wednesday to post the flier of the event.
It was gathered from the flier that Wizkid will be performing at Burj Park, Dubai on March 5th, 2022, same day as Davido’s O2 show.
Sharing the flier, he wrote: “Count down!!! Dubai i‘m coming 👀@blu_fest @hrbooking.”
This has now put to rest rumours that Davido will be bringing him out at his show.
Wizkid will be expected to pay double of what was paid to him as a down payment, if he decides to cancel his Dubai show.
