Nollywood actress, Wumi Toriola has made a public appeal to lovers ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The Yoruba star, via her Instagram page, noted how Valentine’s Day is approaching, the week when those in relationships would be appreciating their spouse for their gifts.
Appealing to them, Wumi told them to remember the singles in their caption as they are humans too. She also told them to indicate if the gift was a self-gift.
“We will soon enter the week of “Ademi thanks”. In your pepper write-up, pls still have mercy on the singles.

It is no longer news that Wumi Toriola is a divorcee. The movie star announced her separation from her husband and the father of her son early last year.
The actress while reflecting on 2022, revealed she walked away from a domestic violent and abusive relationship for her sanity’s sake.
Her ex-husband on his part, had something contrary to say, as he claimed that their marriage was filled with violence, deceit, and betrayal on Wumi Toriola’s part. Describing his marriage as a total regret, he further alleged that Wumi physically assaulted his mother.
Addressing his allegations, Wumi Toriola in a lengthy post on her Instagram page debunked the report, stating that she has never been physical with her mother-in-law or her mother and she had witnesses to back her up.
In an interview with her colleague late last year, Wumi revealed how her fame was used against her by her now ex-husband and how he was always threatening her to trap her into their tox!c marriage.
Now, they are good co-parents and better friends as he is actively involved in his son’s life.
Following her divorce, she has channeled her energy into her son and making movies and is open to being a second wife.
