Nollywood actress, Omowunmi Ajiboye has come under heavy fire over her appreciation message to her husband, Segun Ogungbe.
Kemi Filani reported during the week that the actress laid her mother to rest in the ancient city of Osogbo, Osun state in grand style.
Top dignitaries graced the event like, Faithia Williams, Madam Saje, Kemi Korede, Zainab Bakare, Dayo Amusa. Also present were Kwam1, and MC Oluomo, amongst others.
The actress’s alleged estranged husband, Segun Ogungbe, was also present but he maintained a low profile and was focused on their kids.
Following the burial ceremony, Wunmi took to her Instagram page to appreciate her husband. Rather than calling him sweet names, she described him as Popsy Awon Oba meaning the father of Kings and sir.
She appreciated him for coming and rained prayers on him.
“Popsy Awon Oba. Thank you so much for coming sir. God will continue to be with you, Akanni Ade”.
Surprisingly, Wunmi had appreciated former NURTW chairman, MC Oluomo before her husband and had rained powerful prayers on him along with a lengthy caption.
This is coming after Gistlover claimed that MC Oluomo was the reason behind their split as he had fully furnished a new house for her, which made her leave her home. The blog claimed that Segun has since gone back to his first wife, Atinuke.
This is the reason why Segun Ogungbe had a lukewarm personality at his mother-in-law’s burial and MC Oluomo took center stage.
Taking to the comment section, many dragged the Yoruba star for abandoning her husband for MC Oluomo, while others blamed Segun for taking a second wife, despite having a good wife.

In June, news made rounds that Segun Ogungbe and Wunmi Ajibboye had parted ways.
According to Gistlover, Segun couldn’t fund Wunmi’s lifestyle, hence why she resulted to having extramarital affairs. Now she has returned to the streets.
