Netizens have slammed a fan of Olamide’s record label, YBNL for accusing KCee, of sampling him and Asake’s “Amapiano” in his new song.
Taking to the micro-blogging platform Twitter now known as X, the lady identified as Teniola YBNL had mistook KCee’s lyrics in his new song, “Am happy I know” for “Amapiano” and had heavily criticized him for it.
Teniola noted how Olamide has always been elevating Igbo artists as she bragged about his extraordinary influence on them.
“Kcee sampled Olamide and Asake”Amapiano ” on his new song. Olamide and always elevating Igbo artistes. Olamide influence, especially to Igbo artistes is cr@zy”.
Reacting to it, netizens slammed her for undermining KCee.

J Brandy, a member of the YBNL music label, recently took to Twitter to celebrate the influence of Olamide, on the Nigerian music scene. This acknowledgment highlighted Olamide’s role as a mentor and a key figure in the development of many Nigerian artists’ careers.
In his tweet, J Brandy expressed deep respect for Olamide, suggesting that without his impact, the trajectory of many Nigerian artists would have been vastly different.
Similarly, singer, Benkrezt had called on his colleagues, Timaya and Burna Boy to invest in the South, as he noted how Olamide has been of immense influence to many Western artists in the music industry.
Calling them to rise and stand up, Benkrezt urged them to do the same in the South, most especially Port Harcourt, their birth root.
To add to it, Zlatan who was first signed to Olaminde’s label, YBNL, had recounted Olaminde’s impact in his life, attesting to how Olamide had changed his life and the lives of many like Fireboy, Asake, Ycee, Yung John, Dotman, Fuse and many more.
He revealed that Olamide had reached out to him via Instagram and had taken him to another state to record his first song, which became a hit.
Praising him, Zlatan noted how Olamide never made noise or capped about his numerous achievements.
