Nollywood actor and content creator Yemi Elesho has recounted his sweet memories with award-winning singer, Asake.
In an interview with Biola Bayo, Yemi revealed that Asake had nothing back then, and he would always take him to Bawee to buy him food. Yemi said that he wouldn’t be able to say much because of social media before they drag him for bragging.
Yemi also recalled how he used to DM people, even sending messages to American rapper Chris Brown.

In other news, last year, Asake parted ways with his boss, Olamide, and his label. According to reports online, Asake’s contract with Olamide’s YBNL expired, and when Olamide presented Asake with a new contract, Asake refused to sign. Olamide tried everything in his power to renew his label deal with Asake, but all his efforts were futile.
Additionally, he unfollowed everyone on social media and removed YBNL from his Instagram bio.
In November 2022, Asake spoke out about Olamide’s impact on his life. An old video that resurfaced online captured the epic moment Asake burst into tears when Olamide jumped on one of his songs and made him a signee under the YBNL record label. Recalling the mindblowing incident, Asake revealed how one phone call from Olamide changed his career.
Last year, Asake recounted how Olamide advised him to dump his girlfriend when he became a star. Sharing his story, he expressed how excited he was to have listened to Olamide’s advice, which has made him more financially successful.
