Vice President of Nigeria, Yemi Osinbajo has written a birthday tribute to President Buhari as he turns 80 today, December 17th.
Taking to Instagram, Osinbajo highlighted the unique qualities of the president. He praised Buhari for his extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation.
Osinbajo noted how the president’s unblemished service to humanity has demonstrated that it’s possible to serve the nation selflessly.
Raining prayers on him, he wrote,
“Happy 80th Birthday Mr. President @muhammadubuhari Your extraordinary life of unblemished service to the nation in the army, as a Governor, Minister, Military Head of State and as two-term Civilian President demonstrates that it is possible to serve the nation and our people honestly, forthrightly and selflessly.
Dolly and I and the family wish you many more happy years in peace and good health in Jesus name. Amen”
Buhari celebrates VP Osinbajo at 65
Yemi Osinbajo’s birthday tribute is a reciprocation of Buhari’s sweet gesture towards him on his birthday in March.
Recall that the president had extended felicitations to the Vice President on the occasion of his 65th birthday.
In a statement, President Buhari described Osinbajo as a man of many parts, while noting his selfless services to humanity.
The President said: “On behalf of the Federal Executive Council, and the Government and people of Nigeria, I wish Vice President Professor Yemi Osinbajo a happy and fulfilling 65th birthday, today March 8, 2022.
“I join family, friends and associates to celebrate a man of many parts; lawyer, scholar, administrator and pastor, working selflessly and sacrificially to bring government closer to the people, and placing the people at the centre of governance by regularly advocating policies that support human development.
The President went on: “His loyalty and dedication to duty have been most exemplary, especially in supervising the economy, which involves regular interface with heads of public and private institutions, and other government structures to ensure synergy and harmony that put the welfare and wellbeing of all Nigerians first.
“I salute his courage, humility and resourcefulness, and pray that the Almighty God will continue to grant him the strength, wisdom and good health to serve Nigeria and humanity.
“Happy birthday, Professor!” Buhari added.
Yemi Osinbajo and wife celebrate 33rd anniversary
Last month, Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, Dolapo celebrated their 33rd wedding anniversary on, November 25th.
Taking to Instagram, Dolapo shared a throwback photo from their wedding ceremony.
She noted how her husband told her to walk with him, 33years back, which she accepted.
Expressing gratitude to God, she wrote,
“You said, “Walk with me”. I said, “I will”. 33years ago. All glory to God!”.
