Theo Lawson, the husband of Yeni Kuti and daughter of Afrobeat legend Fela Kuti, has expressed his undying love for his wife as she celebrates her 60th birthday.
In a post shared on his Instagram page, Theo assured Yeni that she shouldn’t be afraid of what the new milestone brings on her path.
While expressing how much he loves his wife, Theo Lawson said he would continue to support and be by Yeni’s side to ensure she finds fulfilment in the new age.
He wrote: Omoyeni, as you come to terms with your smarting of silver on your crown, as your life clock chimes 60, fret not, I’ve been there and will hold your hand and guide you to find the diamond that is promised with this day. Kemifilani recalled that Yeni Kuti welcomed her second grandchild in February last year. The baby who was given birth to by her daughter was born 3 days to the day Yeni Kuti lost her maternal grandmother.
Yeni shared pictures showing her daughter cuddling the new born baby while still at the hospital regaining her strength after a tough labour.
