Actor and human right activist, Yomi Fabiyi has broken his silence following the news about Baba Ijesha’s bail conditions.
KFN recalls that Yomi was one of the very few people that stood solidly behind Baba Ijesha after he was arrested and detained.
According to Yomi, Baba Ijesha should be granted bail for a fair hearing .
It was earlier disclosed by Baba Ijesha’s lawyer, Adesina Ogunlana that the comic actor was granted bail due to his bad health. He added that the bail was yet to be fulfilled because the conditions have not been met.
The bail conditions listed by the lawyer for Baba Ijesha’s release are two reliable sureties – one of them must be a level 10 officers, a direct blood relation, and an N500,000 bail bond in like sum.
Reacting to this, Yomi wrote on Instagram;
“Abuja loun pe bi. Human Rights is Key. There can NEVER be true JUSTICE if human rights of suspects, complainant violated. Rights which include Fair Hearing and strict adherence to the RULE of LAW. Do more on Human Rights, then Nigeria will develop and be peaceful”
