Nollywood actor and filmmaker Yomi Fabiyi has taken his fight for justice for the late singer Ilerioluwa Promise, popularly known as Mohbad, to another level as he conducts a private investigation.
The controversial actor made the news known via his Instagram page, revealing that as a Human Rights activist, it is pertinent for him to investigate properly, dig deep, and search for clues and closure. He stated that this was the third day of his investigation. Still, he would, however, not be giving details of his investigation to the public for safety and the right to privacy.
In another post, he shared a video of him visiting CURA_MED hospital, where he stated that the hospital did everything right and showed overwhelming proof.
“PRIVATE INVESTIGATION: JUSTICEFORMOHBAD:
Visited CURA-MED HOSPITAL today. The hospital did everything right and showed overwhelming proof. Kudos to the staff.
As a Human Rights Organization, it is pertinent to investigate properly, dig deep, and search for clues and closure in any matter of interest with utmost neutrality, honesty, and professionalism, hence the need for this exercise and documentation.
This is the 3rd day of the investigation. Not every detail of our investigation will be made public for the safety and right of privacy of all involved. We would rather share with appropriate quarters. But trust me, we will do our best to play our part for a better and safer society. If you have any VITAL information, please kindly reach out via DM.
DO NOT FORGET, there will be a PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATION in front of the Coroner Inquest Court, Ikorodu, on the 11th of September, 2024″.
Last month, ahead of Mohbad’s first remembrance, Yomi Fabiyi announced a solidarity assembly for fans and lovers of the singer in front of The High Court (Coroner Inquest), Ikorodu, Lagos, on September 11th. Reading out some riot acts, he stated that the assembly would continue demanding justice for the late entertainer.
In April, Yomi had defended Mohbad’s father’s right to demand a DNA test for his grandson, as he noted how his father was carrying the burden of pain and wanted closure. Yomi noted how Mohbad’s widowed wife couldn’t do anything if the court gives a verdict for her to do it, adding that everybody is a suspect in the ongoing case.
